Mission of Hope

The Mission of Hope group strives to share the joy of knowing Christ by giving comfort and hope to local patients suffering with cancer. Supporting the work of the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center in Washington, a monthly hands-on workshop is held to create hats (summer and winter varieties), small breast pillows and journals. Additionally, requests are taken for friends and family impacted by cancer but not clients of Shepard Center. A talent for sewing is not required as the workshops focus on cutting  out patterns. Subsequently, members gifted in sewing complete the items at home. All skill sets are needed and everyone is welcome. Contact Connie Howard or Jo-Ann Ingersoll  if more information is needed.
